From Sanjaya acting normal, to blake being sexually frustrated

Idol; Secrets! Uhh not really People magazine, this info is a bunch of crap. No past lovers? Secret drug-use, pissed off gay exes, diva behavior? Geez.

Lakisha Jones: The Single Mom
Age: 27
Relationship Status: Single
Pre-Idol: The mom to 4-year-old daughter Brionne worked as a bank teller in Fort Meade, Md.
The Fame Factor: "I've had a couple of guys call me and say 'Hey, baby ... ' I'm like 'Are you kidding me? Baby? I remember you didn't give me a return phone call. You remember that? Stop calling me, dude. It ain't happening.' "
Idol Style: "I am a little self-conscious because I am the heaviest girl of the bunch. But I try to keep it classy. I'm not going the shorter skirt route again."
Hidden Talent: "I am a great cook! I do oxtails, collard greens, some gravy, crab salad. But I don't bake. Cakes and stuff always fall down."
Backstage Secret: "The hard part is not being able to put my daughter (who's bunking with Grandma in Michigan) in bed with me at night. She sleeps so wild, she's all over the place. I used to move her off me, but now I would love to feel her kicking me or slobbering on my arm, you know?"
Why She Auditioned: "I just want a better life for my daughter and me. I don't ever want to go home and have my lights shut off again, or where I'm calling my friends and going, 'Can I borrow $20?' "

Melinda Doolittle: The Mom Figure

Age: 29
Relationship Status: Single
Pre-Idol: Brentwood, Tenn.-based backup singer for Aaron Neville, CeCe Winans and Idol alum George Huff
Why She Auditioned: "Some friends invited me to go with them to the Memphis audition, saying it would be fun to watch the funny singers," says Doolittle. "On the way we decided the whole car had to audition, and I ended up being the only one to make it."
Idol Style: "I'm a bit of a tomboy, so these heels and all this are not normal for me. It's fun, but it's like playing dress-up, so when I go home, it's snatch the wig off and lie down!"
Backstage Secret: "I am the oldest one here," she says, "so the other contestants call me Mama. I love to be silly. Everybody thinks I'm shy, but I'm not shy. I just get a little nervous occasionally."
The Makeover: "I am the worst," says Doolittle of her style sense. "Thank God I have help."

Phil Stacey: The Family Guy

Age: 29
Relationship Status: Married to Kendra, who gave birth to their second daughter, McKayla, while Dad was trying out.
Pre-Idol: U.S. Navy petty officer third class, stationed in Jacksonville, Fla.
What Made Him Audition: "My friend made me because I missed his wedding and that's how he said I could make it up to him. I'm glad he did!"
Backstage Secret: "I have this nervous habit where I cough before I go onstage. I get nervous, I cough – my parents have always yelled at me about it. I really need to get over it."
What's On His iPod? "Spice Girls. I'm a huge Spice Girls fan. They are the mac daddies of pop." - Uh.. intresting.

Sanjaya Malakar: The Shocker

Age: 17
Relationship Status: Single
Pre-Idol: Seattle high school student
Winning Strategy: "There's never been an Indian American Idol," says Malakar. "I want to be proof of the melting pot that America is. My strategy is to be myself. I'd like to appear like a normal person because I am a normal person." LIAR!
Fame Factor: "I don't want to be really angry or hurt, so I don't read what they say about me in the press or online."
Best Idol Bud: "Jordin and I have the high school thing going on, but I try to hang out with everyone."
Backstage Secret: "As soon as I get onstage, I have to pee. It never fails," says Malakar, who wears a lucky charm – his grandfather's wedding ring – to help calm his nerves.
Guest mentor he's psyched to meet: "Tony Bennett. When I heard he was going to be on, I was ecstatic."

Blake Lewis: The Beat Boxer

Age: 25
Relationship Status: Single
Pre-Idol: Performed as an a cappella musician, including a four-year gig with the Seattle group Kickshaw
Why He Auditioned: "I've been waiting for an opportunity like this for a long time. I've done improv comedy and rap videos with my friends, which are on YouTube. Doing that prepped me for being on TV."
Idol Style: "I started to make my own pants when I was in Seattle because I don't wear jeans," says Lewis, who has six tattoos. "I only wear these Caddyshack pants – I call them Grandpa pants. I like to put a little funk into everything."
Backstage Secret: "I'm sexually frustrated! I broke up with my girlfriend right before Hollywood week, which was sad. I have no game. I get scared because I regard women as the most beautiful creatures in the world. (GIRLFRIEND, IF YOU DO EXIST LET US KNOW). But when (I'm performing), it's easier because then they come talk to me. A tour could be fun!"
Who's On His iPod? "I love Robin Thicke. I wanted to do his music on the show but he didn't give clearance. Darn that Robin!"

Chris Richardson: The Timberlake Look-Alike

Age: 23
Relationship Status: Single
Pre-Idol: Restaurant supervisor at Hooters in Chesapeake, Va.
Music Background: "I've recorded for about five years," says Richardson. "I went to a studio (in Virginia Beach) one night and Justin Timberlake was recording his album. I played my guitar for him and we watched a basketball game."
Idol Style: "When I first came to L.A. I weighed 225 lbs. I would do label visits and they'd say they loved the music, but 'you need to lose weight.' Now I'm 180. I went on a strict diet and I work out religiously."
Backstage Secret: A brewing intra-Idol romance perhaps? A source spotted Richardson and Top 24 Idol Alaina Alexander – who's been sitting with Richardson's family during the shows – hanging out in L.A. "They weren't too affectionate in public," says the source, "but they were talking close to each other. They were having fun."
On Being Judged: "I'm my own worst critic. I see my performances and go, 'Oh, that's horrible.' " - And yet you continue being horrible.

Gina Glocksen: The Rocker Chick

Age: 22
Relationship Status: Dating Joe Ruzicka, a guitar player. (He's been in the audience holding her good luck charm, a stuffed lizard named Pickle.)
Pre-Idol: Chicago dental assistant and part-time singer.
The Fame Factor: "I get so down when I see (on blogs) 'Gina looked really big in that dress.' That's why they tell you not to read this stuff," she says. "It's a talent show, not America's Next Top Model. And I'm not that big!"
Backstage Secret:
Although Glocksen usually sports a tongue piercing, "I was told not to have it in by (executive producer) Nigel Lythgoe," she says. "He said, 'It's middle America. Do you want votes or no?' " Glocksen followed Lythgoe's advice for a few weeks, but then put the stud back in.
Scandal Scarred: "I always think, 'That could be me,' " says Glocksen of the hubbub over the racy photos that surfaced featuring former Idol Antonella Barba. "That's why they have you tell (producers) what you've done in the past. Old friends will try to put the kibosh on you."
Idol Ritual: "Before I perform, I floss my teeth. I've seen a lot of people that don't even think about it, and the camera's right up in there."

Haley Scarnato: The Hottie(?)

Age: 24
Relationship Status: Engaged to Bobby Krudwig, a sales executive
Pre-Idol: Wedding singer in her native San Antonio
Fame Factor: Although she thinks it's "cute" that she has a fan club called "Haley's Comet," Scarnato doesn't want to know much more than that. "I completely stay away from the Internet and gossip – it's scary," she says. "I got recognized recently, which was weird. They said something about my mole!"
Guest Mentor She's Psyched to Meet: "Martina McBride," says the country fan. "I love her."
What's On Her iPod? "I love Elvis, which is shocking to people for some reason."
On Being Judged: "Some comments are pretty harsh. Ryan lightens the mood. It's nice to have him on that big stage next to you."

Jordin Sparks: Teen Wonder

Age: 17
Relationship Status: Single
Pre-Idol: High school junior and plus-size model
Music Background: Sparks toured with Christian singer Michael W. Smith. Her other training? Watching Idol since its first season. "I was, like, 11!" she says. (Actually, she was 12.) "I know what the past Idols have done and I know what looks good on TV and what looks not good."
Why She Auditioned: "When I'm on the stage, I feel like I can be myself and nobody will care. I love being up there. I love seeing the faces in the crowd. I love hearing the clapping when you're performing."
Idol Life: "My hair makes it hard for me to hide. I pull it back and people still recognize me. These little girls are so precious – they say, 'We vote for you all the time!' I love it. My dad (former NFL player Phillippi Sparks) was always in the spotlight, so I'm very comfortable with being in the spotlight, too."
What's On Her iPod? " 'N Sync and Hanson. I love 'MMMBop'!"

Awe they really don't hate each other!

They totally do! The puppets are putting up a show. Any who, four of our favorite Idols, Blake, Haley, Jordin and that other girl with the hair were exclusively caught by TMZ getting some grub. Where's everyone else? I know they sure as hell ain't "training" and working on their vocal skills!
So how does the Idol leaving arrangements work out? I thought they had them all stuck in a house or something. I didn't think they could just walk out at will.

Because we love Nancy Grace

Our beloved Nancy Grace of CNN's Nancy Grace along with outer overly-enthusiastic journalists, is getting some heat over her "breaking" stories about Michael Jackson's hospitalization. Bitch dedicated over half of her to all that bunch of bull-crap. It's been reported he was in no serious condition. Although with MJ... you never know what the hell is going on.

Well cheer up Nancy! We trust you all the way and love your show. Who else would've given us all that Anna Nicole Smith news overload, only you!

Windows Vista DRM – Good or bad?
It’s outstanding. No, fair. Actually I don’t use a PC—we’re all on Macs. Is that weird?

What’s your favorite Linux distro?
The purple one?

Do you think the increase in performance between the Intel Duo and the Intel Core Duo is worth the price?
It’s a little expensive—overpriced.

What is a mouse?
The one I have at home is squishy—but on the show it’s just big—I have to work it with both hands.

In one episode you had to reboot the routers. Why did you have to do this yourself? Don’t you have patsies to do that stuff?
It’s like I have to do everything myself—no one else is to be trusted.

How much RAM is enough RAM?
I need more RAM.

There’s a theory on the net that Chloe has Asberger Syndrome…
I’ve heard about this—let’s just say I’m a genius and leave it at that. And that I can talk to dolphins.

Interview with Chris Sligh

On this exit interview from AOL, Chris explains his distaste with AI, and why he wanted to leave the show two weeks ago. He also talks about VFTW and Sanjaya. You just know there's more he wants to say... but he can't! AI owns his ass now.

"The judges gave you a hard time about your performance. In rehearsals, did you sense that you were going to have a problem with the rhythm?
I sang with Gwen on Saturday, and I had just picked that song out Friday afternoon after changing my song. I was originally going to do 'Give a Little Bit' covered by The GooGoo Dolls. But I really wanted to challenge myself a little bit more. By the time I got to rehearsals on Monday, I had started to get the rhythm down a little bit. But I actually went back and listened to my performance about 10 or 15 times. It wasn't a great performance, but it wasn't as bad as the judges made it seem. As soon as they gave me the spanking that they did, I kind of new I was going home.

You were an early favorite, but you kind of lost momentum. What do you think happened?
You know what I think it was? I never came into this wanting to win it. I come from an indie / alternative rock kind of background. For me, I think winning would hurt what I was really going for. I think what solidified it in my mind was when I was universally trashed for my arrangement of 'Endless Love.' I kind of thought it wasn't the competition for me. Actually, I almost dropped out that week. I went to the guy from 19 [Entertainment] and said, "If I drop out, can I still go on tour?" And they were like, "No, you have to get voted out." So I was like, "Well, we'll see what happens." This week, I really thought it was a good song for my voice and I gave it my best.

What $50 bet did you have with Phil Stacey?
I knew that I was going home. I had this feeling in my heart that I was going home. Pretty much nobody gets away from being trashed like I was unscathed. I told Phil I was going home. And he was like, "No way! There's no way you're going home before me." So I bet him $50, and he took me up on it and I won.

What did you think about the critiques you got from the judges?
All six songs were risks in one way or another, and I feel like that was ignored. And really, the judges never commented on my voice, and that was frustrating for me. At least say, "You have great vocals but I didn't like the arrangement." But it was never that.

Bob Jones University criticized your musical direction on 'American Idol.' What's your response?
I specifically kept my comments about Bob Jones to myself just for personal reasons. I don't want to throw them under the bus, and I respect what they do. It's just that their sect of Christianity is not what I want to be associated with.

Why did you decided to leave Bob Jones before graduating?
I didn't leave Bob Jones through a choice of my own. I actually got kicked out for going to a Christian contemporary concert. It was a band called For Him. So they kicked me out. It was actually good because I had been figuring out how to leave. My parents had given me the option to go to two colleges, and I chose the less crazy one believe it or not. I was 18 and didn't have the money to pay for college, so I chose what I could. No disrespect to Bob Jones, but again, it's just not the sect of Christianity I want to be associated with.

You were known for cracking jokes, but do you think your irreverence and sarcasm worked against you?
It's funny because I love the show, but at the same time there are some cheesy aspects I poked fun at. And there are people who love the show so much that anything you say bad about the show or Simon -- as I did, for instance -- they will literally write you hate mail. I had a blog and I would get hate mail for weeks after my comment to Simon. People said they hoped I would die because I told Simon I didn't sound like The Teletubbies. It kind of freaked me out. I hope that people would realize that me joking around about the show is very tongue and cheek.

When you said "Hi, Dave" the other week, were you addressing the founder of Votefortheworst.com?
I don't know if I should answer that question. (Laughs)

But doesn't a Website like that hurt you and help Sanjaya?
I think people underestimate Sanjaya. He's 17 years old. When I was 17, I don't think I knew how to sing in a live situation. I have a lot of respect for him, and I do not envy his position at all.

What would you change about the show?
I wish they would let songwriters sing their songs. I wish they'd let people play instruments. And the third thing is I wish that those who enjoy blogging would be able to blog about the experience. I mean, there are secret parts about the show that they don't want to get out, but I think it would be an interesting read. We work seven days a week, 10 to 15 hours a day. Not all of that is stuff that America doesn't need to know about.

Sanjaya doesn't care what you think! He knows he's going to win

Sanjaya is becoming a little cocky bitch! I love the Sanjina but once he goes all diva on us, that is where I'll draw the line. Bitch don't have an album, bitch don't have no Oscar, all he has is that fab hair so bitch can't be no diva yet.

TMZ is reporting that they spoke to Sanjaya's family directly! And they were like

"Yeah Sanjaya know's he's got it going on, he don't need none of y'alls jealousy, so keep the hatin to yourselves bitches!"

Ok actually they didn't speak to her family, they spoke to a source close to the family who said

"You can write all you want, Sanjaya is here to stay!"

And a comment to votefortheworst.com,

"Thanks guys, but he doesn't need your votes."

I wouldn't be soo sure about that.

This morning Rosie and Elisabeth once again fought it out to see who's more political. Any morning when these bitches get all political is a great morning. I gotta side with Rosie and Joy, Bush is a dumb ass and the sooner Elisabeth realizes that, the sooner she'll be more than that dumb blonde on the show. I have to give her props for sticking up for herself every time she gets her ass pounded by Ro and Joy.

Day 12

Sorry this wasn't up last night guys, I was just way too exhausted to even get into how I felt about last night's elimination. I thought it better to wait until today to be better rested.

I first want to say thanks to TMZ and the rest of you guys for worrying so much about me since then, that really means a lot. It's helping to get me through a rough time. Don't worry though, I'm still alive.

Of course Sanjaya should have been eliminated last night based on Tuesday's performances, that's a no brainer. Though for whatever reason, when the results were read I wasn't shocked by the outcome. Horribly dissapointed yes, but it seems like there is some part of me that is just getting used to him constantly being able to survive. Regardless, as much as I thought Chris Sligh was a good singer, if this were a "normal" season of American Idol and Sanjaya wasn't around, it would have been his night to go last night anyway.

As for me, as I'm sure many of you realized I wasn't really keeping up well with the page yesterday. Sorry about that. I am still feeling the toll this is taking on me. Another 7 days doesn't seem that bad though, so let's gear up for next week and boot Sanjaya at last!

I think I may actually have some suprises for you guys to look forward to in the next few days, I'll keep you posted.

- J

Phew.

Jennifer Aniston did what?!

Jennifer was caught by TMZ kissing some strange dude outside of none other than Vince Vaughn's party! Oh wait, she's not dating or MARRIED to him, so it shouldn't be such a scandal. Sources exclusively tell AoT that she's set to adopt a few kids with the strange fellow.

Is Simon Cowell just a big queen?

That's what the former cowboy from The Village People is claiming! The always reputable "Enquirer" asked Randy Jones which male celebrities set off his gay-dar. Among various celebs like singer Kenny Chesney and John Travolta who he called a big fat lady, he said Simon's bitchiness gives him off as a big queen.

“Times have changed. I think actors and singers should realize that they can still be successful even if they are openly homosexual,” Jones told The Enquirer in an exclusive interview.

“In my opinion, Simon Cowell is the biggest queen on TV. To me, he gives off a ‘bi/gay’ vibe and tends to carry on with bitchy, campy commentary. I know a lot of gay men and Simon seems to me like a ‘gay wannabe.’”

American Idol cuts the fat

I had predicted Haley would leave tonight, but she ended up being in the bottom 2 with the un-lucky one to leave being Chris Sligh. Some of you might remember how he allegedly made the shout-out of death during a live show which probably pissed off the suits at American Idol. Well the bitch had looked worried for a while now, as if he knew he was going to get the axe.

Raising more speculation tonight, while singing his last AI tune he told Phil "You owe me 5o bucks."

I hope this gets juicy! Just as juicy as porky himself.

Sanjaya confident he will win, Paula don't want none of that

Extra Tv is reporting that newly-sober judge Paula Abdul isn't very fond of Sanjaya Malakar. Just like Simon said it, she believes it doesn't matter what they say anymore it's all in the hands of us gullible Americans. Paula obviously doesn't care about Sanjaya because he's gay. Not that she's a homophobe, but that just means she can't fuck him.

"Sanjaya’s latest shock and awe on Tuesday night’s “Idol” left everyone gawking and talking about his Mohawk.

But for Paula Abdul, the new look left her speechless, and only “Extra’s” Terri Seymour was in the limo with Paula right after Sanjaya’s mane surprise.

“Sanjaya to me… it’s just running amuck,” Paula said, saying Simon said it best when he admitted, “I don’t think it matters anymore what we say actually.”

On Wednesday morning, Rosie O’Donnell was quick to give her “View,” asking if Sanjaya was ever going to prove that he can really sing.

“They were saying last night, the judges, that they think he can sing. I’m like, ‘Is he going to show us ever?’” Rosie said.

But Sanjaya has victory on the mind.

“I’m going to win ‘American Idol’ because they need a fresh new face,” the confident wannabe proclaimed.

We were behind the scenes with all of the “Idols” for their first ever People magazine photo shoot, where Haley showed off her sexy legs and Blake revealed his confident side.

“I will win ‘American Idol’ because I'm being true to myself,” he told us.

Meanwhile, Jordin Sparks told us, “I love singing, I love performing, I love getting ready for it. I love it all! I want to do it for the rest of my life.”

The People issue, which has two different covers, hits stands Friday, but before it does, we got a look at the “American Idol” contestants before they were “Idols.”

We found a pre-teen Sanjaya singing and dancing in a video of him performing nearly eight years ago in the Hawaii Children’s Theater production of “Bugsy Malone.”

“Extra” also discovered lost tapes of Chris and Gina with their band, and Lakisha belting it out at Houston’s Abundant Life Cathedral."

What a tease

Showtime is giving us po'folks the chance to catch the first two episodes of it's newest fancy-ass show The Tudors. Sure I'll take whatever I can get!
Be sure to watch the much-hyped show if you need some time to kill. If you want to follow the rest of the series, then you'll need to subscribe or maybe it'll be available in iTunes.

Catch the first two episodes here

They were after Ryan!

TMZ has learned that just moments ago, "E! News" host Giuliana DePandi and a slew of other E! Entertainment Television employees were evacuated from their Los Angeles office building after a "bomb threat" was phoned into security.

Sources tell TMZ that two threatening phone calls were made from two different overseas locations.

We're told that Ryan Seacrest was not in the building at the time of the evacuation. Police sources tell TMZ that a security guard on scene reported the threats, and LAPD is currently at the location.

The EMI-Capitol Music Company and the G4 Network are also occupants of the building. The structure was used as the D&D Ad Agency in "Melrose Place!"

A source tells us that occupants of the building are being told that they will be kept out for at least an hour.

Most popular salesman, Q&A with Rainn Wilson

His work as a mortician's apprentice got him noticed. His turn as eccentric paper salesman Dwight Schrute made him famous.

Now producers can't seem to get enough of actor Rainn Wilson. A star of NBC's Emmy-winning comedy "The Office," and an alumnus of HBO's hit drama "Six Feet Under," Wilson is being offered roles for the first time in his 14-year career. And whenever "The Office" goes on hiatus, he takes them.

The latest such role is as a disarmingly normal science teacher in the family film "The Last Mimzy," which opened Friday.

He'll be back to weird in "Bonzai Shadowhands," a movie he wrote. Several other films are in line behind that one.

It's a dream life for the Seattle native, who used to do odd jobs to supplement his acting career. Wilson, 41, talked with The Associated Press about what's next.

Q: How has "The Office" changed your life?

RAINN WILSON: I get recognized a lot. When you're an actor on a TV show that people love, and you play kind of a goofball, they instantly think that they're your best friend. I'm there with my wife and kid and they're wanting to engage in having a buddy-buddy conversation. I try to be nice and grateful to my fans -- my billions and billions of fans. But at the same time I like to keep my privacy going a little bit.

Q: What is it about the show that has connected with so many people?

WILSON: No matter how absurd the humor gets, it's believable and grounded and people identify with the characters. They've just kind of fallen in love with the world and the characters. Our show is really like appointment television. Of the 10 million people who watch our show, a very large percentage tune in every week and have to see every show to find out what's going to happen next.

Q: "Six Feet Under" was like that, too.

WILSON: I've been so lucky. There's been so much kind of dreck on television and I have been on two of the greatest shows.

Q: How did you get involved with "The Last Mimzy"?

WILSON: (Director) Bob Shaye sent me the script and offered me the role. For an actor who's been struggling for 13 or 14 years professionally to all the sudden be getting scripts sent, it's insane. I read it and I was deeply and genuinely moved by it.

Q: Plus you get a chance to play a normal, hippie teacher.

WILSON: There's a particular brand of West Coast -- and particularly the Pacific Northwest -- of hippie type of character. I call them the healthy hippies. Hippies you always think of as kind of unwashed and really drugged out. But the healthy hippies, they go to the organic bakery in the morning and they have a latte and a bran muffin. Then they have their kayaking lesson and you know, their Birkenstocks, maybe an earring to be a little bit rebellious. And maybe they've got a band or they're going to Burning Man. And they have a day job that's pretty normal. But they're not hippies per se. They're just outdoorsy, alternative livers. That's what I tried to tap into.

Q: You got all that background growing up?

WILSON: My parents were hippies in Seattle. My name is Rainn. So it was all right there for me.

Q: Are you still blogging as Dwight for "The Office"?

WILSON: I am and I owe them a blog. Thanks for reminding me.

Q: What other projects do you have in the works?

WILSON: "Kanan Rhodes" ... is a really funny, kind of over-the-top comedy from Bob Odenkirk. It's like a surreal "Ace Ventura." It's about a man who serves subpoenas and takes himself way too seriously. "Bonzai Shadowhands" I'm writing. It's about a down-and-out alcoholic ninja, a once-great ninja trying to put his life back together. I'm doing that with Jason Reitman who directed "Thank You for Smoking." And I have a couple other projects I'm working on and things I'm developing. You strike when the iron's hot and I spent long years slogging by, doing New York theater and spending months and months out of the year unemployed, doing odd jobs to get by. Now I'm going to just take a couple years and work hard and enjoy the fruits of my labor.

Q: Did you always want to be an actor?

WILSON: I don't really have an exciting story about that. I just always wanted to be an actor. I started doing plays in high school, kept at it in college and decided, if I'm really going to be an actor, I need to study it. So I went to the graduate acting program at New York University and did a three-year training program in acting over there.

Q: How do you spend your free time?

WILSON: I'll get some time off with my wife (author Holiday Reinhorn) and kid (Walter) and spend weekends with them. We bought a little cabin in Oregon, so we'll go up there when we get off weeks. It's all about my 2 1/2-year-old, pretty much, so free time is about taking him on a walk, taking him shopping, taking him to the playground, play dates, stuff like that. What I do for myself is tennis. I try and get a couple of good tennis games in a week, which is really fun and relaxing for me.

Q: Is there a dream role for you? What is the goal?

WILSON: I'm really kind of living the goal right now. I'm pretty much living the life I really always wanted to have and that's a pretty extraordinary thing.
